myusebeta is a command to check your monthly usage. (Note: the myusebeta is a new myuse program that will become the default one as soon as possible.) It accounts for your billing anniversary date, and displays a calendar of usage by week for each type of usage. myusebeta can also calculate usage based charges you are liable for, and estimate what those charges will be by the end of your billing cycle. For example, check out the following:
myusebeta <options> <class> ...
<class> is the kind of usage you want to know about. The default is all kinds of usage. Any number of classes may be specified. Options include:
from shell host:
- fax
- ftp (public ftp directory traffic)
- modem
- www
- secure
- usa
- usa800
from vhost server:
At this time vftp, colocated, and dedicated usage are not available from
this program.
The options include:
-m # (print the information from # months ago instead of the current billing period)
-v (produce more verbose output)
-V (produce less verbose output)
Verbosity:
-V (0, usage chart only)
default (1, add a calculation of the usage charges to date)
-v (2, add an estimate of cycle-end charges based on usage to date)
-vv (3, add a breakdown of usage by sub-service (seldom useful yet))
