Go to the Windows menu and select Netscape News. In the Netscape News window, go to the Options menu and select Show All Newsgroups. The left hand column will show available news groups as below:

To open a Newsgroup so that you can see the posts, double click on the Newsgroup. The threaded posts will appear in the right hand side. To read a post, double click on the message.
