Downloading Netscape

You may download either Netscape's Communicator Standard Edition or the
stand-alone Navigator Browser directly from PRIMUS. Here's how:

• Click on either of the links below. A Save As... window will appear, allowing you to choose where you wish to put the installation file. We recommend putting it into a temporary or "downloads" folder. If you do not already have one, you should create one. Here's how:
  • Click in the Save As field
  • Click on your C: drive icon
  • Click on the Create New Folder button
  • Name the new folder temp (or any other name you wish, but NOT netscape) and hit the enter key
• Double-click on the temp folder (or whichever folder you wish to download Netscape into)
• Click the Save button

Netscape will start downloading.

Installing Netscape on Your Computer

After the download is complete, you must still "unpack" the software to be able to
use it. Here's how:

• Run the Windows Explorer
• Click on the c:\temp folder icon (or whichever folder you used)
• Double-click on cc32e47.exe (or whichever file you downloaded) listed on the right-hand side
• This will now walk you through the Netscape setup program
